The King’s Arms is a countryside restaurant and pub nestled in the village of Cardington, Bedford. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and classic pub-style dishes, it provides an ideal ambiance for customers to enjoy a variety of flavours while breathing in the fresh countryside air.
Wensley Group was tasked with giving The King’s Arms a remodel and repairing parts of the building. As we have previously refurbished historical structures, we remained mindful of the conservation building, carefully executing repair works while adhering to the budget and the timeframe.
Dining Area Renovation
Our team transformed the dining area with rich, varnished wooden flooring that contributes towards the warmth of the restaurant, perfectly complementing a striking patterned ceiling that adds depth and style to the existing cozy ambiance.
Bar Area Renovation
To enhance the bar's aesthetics and streamline service for both customers and staff, we’ve updated the countertop by stripping and resealing it. We also made some changes to the back bar, along with adding decorations, new flooring, and tiling. This maintains the bright and inviting atmosphere that permeates the restaurant. The design is not only practical for staff serving drinks but also visually appealing for customers.
Toilet area
We transformed the toilet facilities, providing a complete refresh to the interior’s design through the flooring, tiling and feature walls. By implementing dark turquoise tiles onto the walls, it beautifully highlights the marble-patterned countertop and contrasting golden accents.
Outdoor Eating Area Repairs and Maintenance
In addition to the dining spaces, some areas of the restaurant’s exterior required attention, ensuring its appearance remains maintained. Here are some of the areas we refurbished and the services we provided:
